Decisions...Part 2

Son,
Some decisions will have no right or wrong choice. In this case you just have to pick one and follow it with all your heart.

Decisions...

Son,
Sometimes you have to make a decision. If you wait to long someone will make it for you.

Babel

I walked into a house of God for the first time since I can’t remember when. I wasn’t there for a wedding, and I wasn’t there for a funeral. It was Sunday. It was God’s day. I walked in feeling like a child, dressed in my Sunday’s best. I sat on the hard wooden pew. She sat unexpectedly tight to me, like we were about to weather a storm. She donned a light colored sun dress. Her long blonde hair was in curls, accenting her already highlighter green eyes. If my soul didn’t already feel humble here, the pastor’s sermon on pride helped. He asked for us to open to Proverbs for the day’s passage. Once I found the correct page I leaned into her so she could read along. At that moment she leaned into me, and wrapped her arm around mine. If I had known that last years emotional torment was leading up to this, I would have endured much more in order to experience this moment. In this moment I felt whole again. If there was ever a day where religion of the heart and religion of the soul were to cross paths, this was the day. That was the moment, and this was the girl. She was more of a woman than any girl I had ever known before. And in one moment, she made me more of a man than I had ever been before.

Drinks...

Keep your liquor cabinet stocked. You never know when you're going to have (unwanted) guests.

Drinks...

1 beer to calm the nerves...

2 beers to celebrate...

3 beers to dull the pain...

4 beers to forgot about your worries...

5 beers...well because you already drank 4, and 5 sounds better than 4.

Yourself...

Son,

The only person keeping you from accomplishing your goals is yourself.
